Canon error 6A00: check the model and service guidance
If a Canon printer shows 6A00, record the full model and any other displayed information. Treat it as a support-code question rather than assuming that the computer’s driver caused the fault.
Locate the model’s manual
Canon’s iP110 6A00 page gives an official example for that series, in Japanese. It describes restarting the printer’s power and arranging repair if the condition persists. Use the manual and language appropriate to your own model for the exact sequence, including any battery instructions.
Do not force a stuck part
Only inspect areas that the user manual permits you to open. Avoid pulling a carriage, dismantling a cleaning assembly or using an undocumented service reset. Similar-looking printers can have different mechanisms.
Prepare a concise service report
Note when the code appeared, whether paper was being fed and any recent jam. Say which steps from the correct manual you completed and whether the code returned. This is more useful than describing the printer as simply broken.
If repair is required, use the Canon service preparation guide. For connection and software problems without a device code, the Canon troubleshooting overview offers separate routes.
