Set up a Canon MG3600 series printer on Wi-Fi
For an MG3600 series printer, start with Canon’s guide for that series rather than a button sequence copied from another model. Have the network name and password ready and keep the printer near the router while setting up.
Prepare the printer
Make sure the printer is powered on and wait for any cleaning or alignment process to finish. Canon’s MG3600 wireless setup guide shows the indicators and available connection methods. Follow its illustrations for your printer rather than guessing from the lamp colour alone.
Choose the supported setup method
The guide offers cableless setup and other connection routes. Choose the method appropriate to your device and operating system, then follow the official setup instructions in order. Do not combine parts of two methods or press reset buttons while the setup is running.
Check the connection with a small print
After setup, confirm that the intended printer is selected on the computer or phone. Print a short test document. If the printer is not found, check whether the device is on the intended network and whether a guest network prevents communication.
If the router or network password changes later, use the model’s connection guidance again. See our Canon support overview for other symptoms. Keep your Wi-Fi password private and use Canon’s official software.
