Recover a hacked Facebook account through official tools
Unexpected posts, a changed password or unfamiliar account details can signal a compromised Facebook profile. Begin recovery through Facebook itself. Do not send passwords, codes or identity documents to a person advertising account recovery in comments.
Open the official hacked-account flow
Facebook recommends visiting facebook.com/hacked on a device you have previously used to sign in. Follow the choices offered for your situation. Read the official recovery guidance if you need to understand the available routes.
Secure the account after recovery
Choose a unique password. Review your contact details, signed-in sessions and security settings. Remove access you do not recognise through the controls Facebook provides. Check connected apps and Page access where relevant; recovering a personal profile does not automatically settle every Page permission issue.
Protect the recovery route too
Secure the email account associated with Facebook and change any reused passwords. Let contacts know if messages from your profile asked them for money or codes. Keep evidence of unfamiliar activity privately.
If the official flow cannot verify ownership, use Facebook’s offered alternatives and avoid repeated claims of guaranteed recovery. Our Facebook support guide explains where to find help and reporting tools. Facebook controls recovery decisions, and an outside technician cannot override them.
