How to reach Sage support for your accounting product

Published by Alphatech · Updated October 11, 2026

Sage is a family of products rather than one application. A useful support request identifies the product, edition, version and country before describing the issue. This helps avoid advice meant for different software.

Use Sage’s official support routes

Start at Sage Support and choose the relevant product and region. Your support entitlement and current contact options may depend on the service you use. Use the resources offered for that product rather than a generic number from a search snippet.

Prepare an example without sharing company data

Write down the exact message, the task and whether one user or everyone is affected. Note any recent update or change to the computer or network. A screenshot can help, but remove employee details, bank information and customer records before sharing it outside a secure official process.

Preserve a working copy

Before repair, migration or data conversion, confirm that an appropriate backup exists and that you know how it can be restored. Ask support which changes affect the company data. Avoid trying several repairs at once because it becomes difficult to tell what changed.

Keep a record of the advice and the case reference. If the problem concerns accounting treatment rather than software behaviour, involve your accountant. Product support and professional accounting advice serve different purposes.
